Art Whino Opening and National Harbor

On Saturday, January 24, 2009 we went to an art opening at Art Whino at the National Harbor. A great space to see art but the walls are a little crowded. We enjoyed the show expecially the work of Bryan Collins. Go to Art Whino to get more information.
It's an unusual location for this gallery among all the retail chains, big hotels, and restuarants but it is nice to see something different in that type of space. The artwork there is also very affordable.
We had dinner at one of the restaurants and the went to the show. The show went til midnight so we didn't have to rush to get there.
Then we went to the Gaylord Hotel and went up and down the glass elevator a few times. It was fun.
Check out the website for the National Harbor to see what is there. I am sure once the weather is warmer it will be a great place to go.

Touchstone Gallery Opening

A large crowd attended the Touchstone Gallery opening this past Friday night. 88 artists and all of their friends, you could barely move. Travis and I stood in one spot for an hour because we couldn't get around the show, but we saw many friends and it was fun. The show is open through February 7th. If you have the time see the show at your leisure with a lot less people.
