Still Hanging Artomatic

This is our fourth visit to Artomatic to hang. Priming and painting were two visits. Then last Wednesday, we went to set it up for hanging, and then tonight we hung the artwork, adhered the labels and press on letters. A lot of work but worth it.
We have met so many other artists, ran into friends' hanging art, and saw friends' art.
So many friendly people at Artomatic, its great how people walking by stop and talk to you while you are hanging your art. Its been a wonderful experience.
On the sixth floor where my art has a home, we saw the bottle cap collection by Elizabeth Morisette. Elizabeth worked with my students at Long Branch. You can follow the link on the left to Long Branch Art Gallery, then click on fence mural project to see the fabulous work she did with my students. On the twelfth floor we ran into John Figura my painting professor at VCU, to view his George Bush and Dick Cheney painting. Check out the slideshow above to see their work and Travis wandering around. We also ran into peeps from Project Peepway and Christian looks fierce as a Peep. So far it looks great. We will be back next Wednesday to hang "Veronica" she wasn't quite ready tonight. I am sure there will be so much more to see. Seeing the transformation of Artomatic has been truly an experince itself.
